ProCOT Sweetens Propane Vehicle Incentive Program

The Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) says its incentive program for private fleets now offers up to $7,500 per converted propane autogas vehicle, as well as for new-vehicle purchases.

‘The program provides seed money for Texas businesses who are introducing propane autogas into their fleet for the first time,’ says Jackie Mason, education and marketing director for ProCOT. ‘The council believes businesses that demo the vehicle in their fleet will clearly see the advantages and continue to adopt propane into their fleet without any further incentives.’

ProCOT notes that the $7,500 incentive represents an increase from what was previously allowed for aftermarket propane autogas conversions. The program cap is $15,000 per private fleet.

In the past, fleets such as ARS, Admiral Linen & Uniform, Primetime Gutters and ThyssenKrupp Elevator have converted vehicles to propane using ProCOT incentives.
