Sweet Home, Ore.-based Linn Shuttle has replaced two of its passenger buses with ones that run on propane.

According to a Democrat-Herald report, Georgia-based Blue Bird factory-built the new vehicles, which feature V-10 Ford engines and cost $132,000 each. The Senior Citizens of Sweet Home Inc. and the Linn County Transit Advisory Board provided funding.

The propane vehicles also represent a partnership with Linn-Benton Community College and AmeriGas, the latter of which installed refueling equipment at the City of Sweet Home's maintenance facility.
