Connecticut Town Buying Another Hybrid for Fleet

0

The Town of Plainville, Conn., is slated to add a plug-in Ford Fusion hybrid to its fleet in August.

According to a Hartford Courant report, the town council recently signed off on the purchase, which will be funded, in part, by state grants. Town Manager Robert Lee said Plainville already has a Toyota Camry hybrid, and the town is ‘looking to lessen our dependence on oil.’

The report also notes the state recently installed two electric vehicle charging stations in Plainville.

The full report is available here.
