Imega International USA, a Florida-based manufacturer of alternative fuel systems, has announced U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intermediate approvals for the company's GAME bi-fuel propane autogas/gasoline system.

According to the company, the approvals cover the 4.6-liter V8 engine line-up for the model-years 2009, 2010 and 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town Car and Mercury Grand Marquis.

‘We are pleased to have a sizable book of orders and are focused on livery and police fleets across the U.S.,” explains Joe Marcellino, president of Imega.
Â
Danilo Gardi, CEO of the company, claims, ‘The Imega propane system is unique, as it hits the sweet-spot in injection: It has similar performance and miles per gallon as liquid injection and offers the lower pricing of vapor injection – but without the valve-recession issues of vapor injection.”

Imega says it is in the process of EPA certifying many popular fleet platforms to be available soon.

Earlier this year, Imega joined ICOM North America LLC, a Michigan-based manufacturer of autogas vehicle system technologies, as a founding partner of the Liquid Autogas Consortium.

Imega notes that it utilizes Icom's dealer and service network across the U.S. and Icom autogas fleet specialists.
