Biofuel company Sundrop Fuels Inc. has finalized a partnership with technology and engineering firm ThyssenKrupp Uhde to complete its first production facility for "green gasoline."

Sundrop Fuels will deploy ThyssenKrupp Uhde's High Temperature Winkler (HTW) gasification process, coupled with other technologies for gas cleanup, methanol synthesis, and methanol-to-gasoline conversion. The plant, which is located in Alexandria, La., will produce up to 50 million gallons of renewable gasoline annually.

According to Sundrop Fuels, engineers are currently working to complete designs for the plant, and construction is scheduled to begin later this year.
