Cool Planet Energy Systems, a company that is developing technology to convert cellulosic biomass into renewable gasoline, has appointed Howard Janzen as president and CEO and Michael Bukowski as vice president of fuel production.

Most recently, Janzen was CEO of One Communications, where he oversaw the integration of eight regional communications companies into one service provider. He was previously president of Sprint Business Solutions, and he spent his early career at The Williams Companies.

Bukowski was previously a vice president and general manager of a large refinery on the East Coast. He also spent 14 years at Sunoco, where he progressed from an entry-level service engineering position to become vice president of the company's Mid Continent Refining Complex.
