The Massachusetts State Police has signed a six-year deal with ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties that will make Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy the sole lubricant for the agency's 2,500-vehicle fleet.

The Massachusetts State Police estimates that the switch to Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy will help the department use 7,000 fewer gallons of lubricant and 5,000 fewer oil filters each year. The lubricant also contributes to better fuel economy through its lower viscosity.

ExxonMobil says that for the everyday driver, Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy oils deliver up to a 2% fuel economy improvement.
