Coulomb Technologies Inc., a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has partnered with utility National Grid and other entities to expand the company's ChargePoint network to 160 ports located throughout New York state.

"Electric vehicles are one viable alternative fuel option we have at our disposal today," Ken Daly, president of National Grid's New York operations. "This is a great example of how public and private entities can work together to find innovative solutions."

In addition to offering EV charging stations, the ChargePoint network provides drivers with the ability to find and operate public ChargePoint-enabled stations, manage charging costs and plan trips.

Coulomb received nearly $1 million of $4.4 million in funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Demonstration Program to supply, deploy and install the charging stations.
