Trillium CNG and AMP Americas have formed a joint venture, AMP Trillium, to focus on developing a network of compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in the US.

The companies say their initial target will be to construct public-access stations along the I-65 and I-75 trucking corridors and on major routes in Texas. Construction of the first station is targeted to begin by this fall.

The new stations will feature fast-fill capabilities and redundant equipment providing increased fill speed and reduced downtime, backed by a 24/7 on-call service team. The stations will accept fleet cards and major credit cards, and offer special fuel pricing programs for fleets.

Trillium CNG, a unit of Integrys Group, focuses on CNG refueling facility design, construction, operations and maintenance. AMP Americas currently owns two CNG fueling stations in Indiana and, in partnership with Fair Oaks Farms, manages a fleet of 42 CNG milk-transport trucks.

"We're very excited by what this joint venture means to AMP and our industry," says Nate Laurell, founder and CEO of AMP. "It allows us to complete more renewable CNG projects alongside a strong financial and operating partner."

Fleet managers with questions about the joint venture may contact Charles Koontz, Trillium CNG's vice president of commercial operations, at cakoontz@integrysgroup.com.
