Colorado Shuttle Fleet Using ROUSH CleanTech Propane Autogas E-350s

Colorado Mountain Express (CME), a ground transportation provider for visitors in the Rocky Mountains, has deployed ROUSH CleanTech shuttle vans fueled by propane autogas to move customers among various Colorado destinations.

CME currently has four 15-passenger ROUSH CleanTech Ford E-350 vans that have been serving Vail resorts during the past year. The company's price for propane autogas averages $1.72 per gallon – compared to $3.80 per gallon for gasoline – equating to about $18,600 in fuel savings over the life of each vehicle.

CME worked with Ferrellgas to locate publicly accessible refueling locations. ‘The fact that propane autogas has such a strong refueling network already in place was appealing to us when we weighed this alternative option against other clean fuels,’ says Robert Tschupp, vice president and general manager of CME.

‘CME joins a host of shared-ride transportation companies across the country that have taken notice of the benefits propane autogas brings to the table,’ adds Todd Mouw, vice president of sales and marketing for ROUSH CleanTech.
