New Siemens Electric Vehicle Charging Platform Integrates Solar

| Siemens has developed a packaged electric vehicle (EV) charging solution that pairs a Siemens VersiCharge EV charger with Siemens' solar micro-inverter system. "The customer can enjoy the best of both worlds - reduced fuel expense and low-cost, clean energy from solar," says Barry Contrael, vice president of low voltage operations for Siemens Infrastructure and Cities. Siemens says it is also developing other new products for residential and fleet EV customers, including the VersiCharge SG, which will have enhanced capabilities for wireless communication, advanced metering and an online interface.
