Recycling Company Using Omnitek Natural Gas Conversions for Fleet

TFC Recycling, a Virginia-based company that provides recycling services to more than 700,000 households, has placed an order for Omnitek Engineering Corp.'s heavy-duty natural gas engine conversion kits.

The company will integrate these systems, which are approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for Mack's 12-liter E7 engines, into its own fleet of trucks. TFC Recycling currently operates about 180 vehicles in its fleet, and it is aiming to shift them all to natural gas.

TFC Recycling is also an authorized installer of Omnitek's diesel-to-natural gas systems.

‘The conversion of its own fleet to operate on natural gas provides a 'working showroom' for potential trucking fleet customers in the region who are interested in transitioning from diesel to natural gas,’ says Werner Funk, president and CEO of Omnitek.

‘We look forward to accelerating the delivery of natural gas converted 'drop-in' engines to TFC Recycling through our strategic alliance with Minneapolis, Minnesota-based diesel engine remanufacturer Reviva,’ he adds.
