Convenience store chain Kwik Trip Inc. continues to notch steady growth in its complement of compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling infrastructure, having recently rolled out CNG equipment at its 30th location.

The new station, in Fond Du Lac, Wis., joins several other Kwik Trip CNG sites in the state: two CNG stations in both La Crosse and Oshkosh, along with locations in Sturtevant, Baldwin, Wausau, Waukesha, Janesville, Sheboygan, Appleton, Verona, Menomonie, Lake Mills, Plover, Oak Creek, De Pere, New Berlin, Superior and Eau Claire. The company plans on rolling out CNG in one additional Wisconsin store, in Windsor, before the end of the year.

Kwik Trip, which operates more than 400 c-stores in three states, also has a number of CNG stations in Minnesota (Rochester, Minnesota City, Owatonna, Mankato, Eagan and St. Michael) and Iowa (Cedar Falls, Waterloo and Davenport).

The company opened its first CNG location in April 2012. Kwik Trip's own distribution fleet, Convenience Transportation, has deployed more than 100 light- and heavy-duty natural gas vehicles and is planning on converting the entire fleet to CNG.
