Air Liquide, Toyota Planning Hydrogen Refueling Infrastructure Network

0

Air Liquide is collaborating with Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. to develop and supply a network of hydrogen refueling stations in the northeast U.S. in order to support the introduction of Toyota's new Mirai hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV).

Air Liquide will initially build 12 refueling stations across a number of Northeastern states, with plans to extend the network as demand warrants. The stations will enable FCEVs to fill up in less than five minutes.

‘Air Liquide sees great promise in the emergence of hydrogen FCEVs in the transportation sector around the world,’ says Air Liquide's Michael J. Graff. ‘We are proud to be on the forefront of hydrogen fuel cell technology and the deployment of the necessary infrastructure.’

The company was also recently awarded contracts to develop hydrogen fueling stations in California and for fleet fueling projects for public buses and warehouse vehicles. Air Liquide has built more than 60 hydrogen stations worldwide, with stations operating in places such as the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.
