Waco CNG Facility Adds to amp Trillium’s Texas Network

amp Trillium LLC, a joint venture between ampCNG and Trillium CNG, has opened Waco, Texas', first public-access compressed natural gas (CNG) facility, located at 1606 Exchange Parkway.

The station will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and features Trillium CNG's proprietary fast-fill hydraulic intensifier. It features three dispensers and allows for three Class 8 trucks to fuel simultaneously – a particularly important feature of the facility, considering the Waco site's easy access for heavy-duty NGV fleets operating along the I-35 corridor.

Dairy Farmers of America and Select Milk Producers, which are converting some of their tractors to run on CNG, will be among the Waco station's anchor fleets.

‘This station and our developing network of ultra-fast-fill CNG stations will enable fleets on routes across Texas to realize the benefits of switching from diesel to CNG,’ says Steve Josephs, ampCNG's director of engineering and co-founder.

The joint venture is currently working on seven additional stations in Amarillo, Harrold, Rosenberg, Sweetwater, Weatherford, Kerrville and Midland that are scheduled to open within the next six months.
