0

Alliance AutoGas says it has received U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification for a number of propane vehicle conversions that use the Prins VSI bi-fuel system.

One of the key platforms covered under the certification is the Ford Transit Connect. Specifically, propane conversions on model-year 2011-2013 Transit Connects with Ford's 2.0-liter engine in both passenger and cargo configurations have been approved.

A huge swath of Ford E-450 platforms (>14,000 lbs.) that use the Ford 6.8-liter engine have also been certified: model-year 2009-2015 cutaways, stripped chassis, step vans and bus chassis.

On top of these certifications, Alliance AutoGas has also received approval for Prins VSI conversions that incorporate GM's 5.7-liter engine on the following passenger and public-safety-fleet vehicles:

  • 2013 and 2014 Dodge Charger
  • 2013 and 2014 Dodge Magnum
  • 2013 and 2014 Dodge Challenger
  • 2013 and 2014 Chrysler 300
