Roadrunner Shuttle and Limousine Service, a company that operates a fleet of more than 100 vehicles in Southern California, has opened a facility in Camarillo, Calif., that hosts an expanding number of propane autogas vehicles and new autogas refueling infrastructure.

‘We purchased our first four propane autogas shuttle vans over a year ago,’ says Charles Sandlin, operations manager for Roadrunner Shuttle. ‘Since then, we've added an additional 13 shuttle vans and two shuttle buses that are currently saving the company nearly $1,500 per vehicle per month.’

The vehicles are Ford E-250 vans and 20-passenger Ford E-450 buses equipped with ROUSH CleanTech liquid propane autogas fuel systems. Also, a 2,000-gallon autogas fueling tanks and associated equipment is nearby.

‘We are excited about Roadrunner Shuttle's continued growth by running clean and cost-efficiently on propane autogas, and we look forward to growing a mutually beneficial relationship in the years to come,’ says Todd Mouw, vice president of sales and marketing for ROUSH CleanTech.

The new facility will help Roadrunner Shuttle accommodate a recently awarded contract from the Ventura County Transportation Commission to provide VISTA intercity bus service.
